Keith James Trevor – Chairman

Keith Trevor has about forty years of experience in appropriate technology, farm machinery, Artificial Intelligence, SPM, energy and man management in diverse work environments international research institutes, and private institutes of repute.

He has studied cropping pattern and soil types across different agro climatic zones in India to design appropriate farm machinery. He worked as farm machinery expert for about 35 years with international agri research institutes (1974 to 1999 in ICRISAT) and private industries engaged in farm implements and equipment. He has designed and built several farm machinery equipment and implements including an automatic specimen samples seed dispenser for adaptation to john Deere’s planters, hill dropping planter for use mainly in Africa, back pack sprayer of 30ft wing span with a dry weight of 3.5 kgs, a movable rain out shelter, ground-nut harvester, belt thresher, rainfall simulator, a mobile workshop for field use, and low cost tractor. He is associated with NGOs in the area of appropriate technology.

Bharath Bhushan Mamidi – General Secretary

M Bharath Bhushan is the founder Secretary of CARPED and has been associated with developmental interventions since 1986. He has been an active member of several campaigns and movements in Andhra Pradesh.

He has more than three decades experience of action research and community mobilisation for sustainable development. He has extensive involvement in policy research for advocacy in the areas of tribal development, child rights, participatory forest management, safety nets, and governance. His contribution to developmental activities in AP is mainly in the areas of child rights, environmental protection and tribal development. He is the founder member of Movement Against Child Labour (MACL), Medak District Voluntary Association Network and Adyayana and been active in several civil society initiatives in the state and country. He has several publications on themes of environment protection, child rights, and tribal development.

He has been founder convenor of Andhra Pradesh Alliance of Child Rights (APACR), Andhra Pradesh NGOs Network on Joint Forest Management, and Telangana Natural Resource Management Group, and coordinated three state level NGO networks comprising more than 200 NGOs in Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2000.

During his career from 1978 he has worked with ICRISAT, Centre for Environment (CEC), Institute of Asian Studies, Adam Smith Institute, and has been advisor to Andhra Pradesh and Orissa governments on alternative livelihoods and safety nets for workers in public enterprises. He was Advisor to Government of Andhra Pradesh (2000 – 2004) and Government of Odisha (2004 – 2009) on social safeguards in public enterprises as part of the team of consultants from Adam Smith Institute/ Adam Smith International, London (UK).

He was Social Expert for “National Rural Livelihoods Mission – Social Assessment Consultations” in AP, MP, Jharkhand and Karnataka for policy recommendations on social mobilization strategies for NRLM, Ministry of Rural Development (GoI) and World Bank, New Delhi. He was Mission Member of Mahila Samakhya 4th Joint Review Mission (March 2013), Mahila Samakhya 2nd JRM in 2009, and Mission Member for Mahila Samakhya: National Evaluation 2004, and Member of Sarva Siksha Abhiyan 12th JRM.

Myana Sudhaker – Joint Secretary

MA, M Phil, (Ph.D) (Sociology) has vast research experience on migrant labour, livelihoods and social work. He has worked in academic and service sector in USA for about 25 years. He is associated with community development programmes and educational institutes since 2015. He is currently Director in Degree College in Jagityal, Karimnagar.

Vidya Sagar Lakka - Treasurer

Vidya Sagar is an Electrical Engineer and photographer specialized in Scientific Photography in Agricultural research. He has worked on documentary films on environment protection and sustainable agricultural practices. He is associated with educational interventions for children. He is an alumnus of JNTU fine arts photography and Hyderabad Central University.

Worked as a Senior Photographer at International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), specialized in Aerial photography, time laps, thermal imaging UV and IR, Close up. He is associated with several short films for WWF, ILRI, IWMI, AVRD, ISH and other ICRISAT Partner Organizations. Contributed 54 episodes to ETV Annadhatha (farmer informative program) through ICRISAT telecasted countrywide by ETV on every Thursday in Telugu and Kannada languages.

He is also a member of Telangana Photography Society, Hyderabad. He has organised several photo exhibitions on scientific photography, agriculture, and festivals of Telangana. He has published coffee table book on Bonalu festival.

Vishnu Vardhan Varre – Executive Member

MSW (IRPM), MBA, (Ph.D). He has about two and half decades experience in good governance, organisational development, ICT in management, M&E, design analysis and vocational training programmes. He worked as Associate Director, Grant Thornton India LLP, Hyderabad, India. He has worked several projects of varied departments state governments and Govt of India across India, as well as DFID, and Adam Smith Institute (UK). He also worked in Nepal.

Korani Vidya Sagar – Executive Member

BSW, MSW is a professional medical social worker from PG College of Social Work, Hyderabad. He has more than 2 decades experience as Medico Social Worker in Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad.
